The Bodleian Law Library is one of the largest academic law libraries in the country, and provides services to readers from the University, wider academia, and the legal profession. You will join the teams that provide the Bodleian Law Library’s weekend and evening services.
You will answer directional enquires, help readers to use the online catalogue and provide initial assistance with equipment that includes printers and photocopiers. You will issue books and share in book shelving and tidying duties. Other tasks include collecting statistics. You will receive training in these tasks if you need it.

You will demonstrate good IT skills and a proven commitment to customer service and experience of working collaboratively with colleagues. You will work carefully and accurately and show discretion when dealing with sensitive information. Demonstrable interest in working with legal materials and/or experience working in a library or similar setting is desirable. Good time keeping is essential.
This is a permanent part-time, term-time only post. Hours of work are Wednesdays 7pm – 10pm; Saturdays and Sundays 12 noon – 3pm (9 working hours per week during the eight- week University term, plus four additional weekends).
